We are now recruiting a priest for the Vessige, Okome, and Susedalen parishes in the Falkenberg parish, just outside the city of Falkenberg.

Here you will find yourself in smaller communities surrounded by villages and agricultural land.

The municipality of Falkenberg is a fantastic part of Sweden to live in! It offers the benefits of a small town with peace and security, affordable housing, and good schools for children. Falkenberg's city center is charming with many shops and restaurants. The city has a rich music and cultural life. There is stunning nature with vast sandy beaches, a vibrant agricultural landscape, and proximity to the forest. The entire area around Falkenberg is buzzing with creativity, featuring innovative artisans in food and drink and various forms of crafts. The transportation links north and south are very good, making it easy to commute to Halmstad, Helsingborg, Varberg, or Gothenburg. It’s easy to create a life here!

Our new priest will be based in the Slöinge parish house alongside a dedicated team with various professions. The children's activities are very lively. We aim to further develop the confirmation activities when the new priest is in place. There are several meeting places for adults. We have two musicians with different musical backgrounds.

Our new priest will join the existing work with their knowledge and personality. However, there is also room for innovative thinking! The Falkenberg parish is large and has a good economy. Different parts of the parish have different expressions. We dream of a vicar who enjoys being a team player and who, together with all other staff, keeps the conversation going about what the church's mission is and how we remain relevant in our society and time.

We are rainbow-certified and actively work on climate issues.
